It may be from inside the pad section, as I didn't take that apart this time. Is very similar to my Korg padKontrol (which has best pads by my opinion). Not the same, very close to this control. When I did this to my MPK49, I'm pretty I saw a sheet of clear plastic in between the pads and the sensors, so they should be protected.Andyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06689225805992930255noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8070825255100764146.post-2506526630552143192012-02-28T22:42:14.620+13:002012-02-28T22:42:14.620+13:00Great instructions - thanks!

One thing I have noticed though, is that due to the fact my studio setup has changed from a sitting to standing position I have to set the pad sensitivity really low or else everything comes out as velocity 127 (obviously due to the added force created when drumming down on to the pads rather than having them at elbow height). I wonder if Akai expect people to be standing when drumming? It seems strange that virtually all their pads have this 'flaw'.Geoffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18087514529559791721noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8070825255100764146.post-41008481061046228292011-03-12T02:17:40.459+13:002011-03-12T02:17:40.459+13:00This was a really usefull complement to the vid.
